Bundy Bear GirlSmile and everyone will wonder what you are up too, enjoy life, it's a gift March 11 Poem about a fantastic person at a corner shop who are so much more to so many moreWhat's not on the shelf at Thomo's
There are some very special people
In this wonderful world of ours
They dont have X-Ray vision
And they dont possess special powers
But all these wonderful souls
Have the ability to care
To help all those around them
And all their kindness share
So how lucky an I to say
That I know one of these angels
A friendly face, a happy smile
Happiness in your heart it fills
For I go to Thomo's
The handy corner store
But for those lucky enough
Sue provides so much more
A packet of chips
A chocolate bar
And the best damn person
You'll ever find by far
Thanks Sue, your kindness measn so much to so many Poem - The Dismissal- change of jobs found me in Barb's care once againThe Dismissal
When i felt all was lost
Alone, sad and blue
I've never had to ask once
But I have looked around and found you
When the eyes start to well
And I have felt really down
Your overwhelming calmness
Bought me back around
You make me look for sunshine
Laugh at all the rain
You listen quite intensly
And help releive the strain
I think I am your special task
God trusts you with my time
I thank this wise man daily
He made you a friend of mine
I may be down
But I wont be out
This night will always be with me
When you help me remove the pout
Words can never express
How I treasure you as my friend
For all the sad, unlucky soles
A "you" I wish I could send
Thankyou Barb, never change, you have a very special gift. A poem in a card instead of Christmas Gifts after I had brain surgeryThis is my little Christmas gift
It comes from me to you
Most certainly didn't cost a lot
So bows and ribbons, it has few
This is how I would now like to show
In my heart you will always be
So with this, I hope, you will know
How special you are to me
I didnt buy a present
As once I would have done
This is how I now represent
Why I can now feel "a lucky one"
I have made a donation of money
Straight to Royal North Shore
While some may think this funny
To me this means so much more
For without this place
And the people around and in
You may not see my face
And the Christmas thoughts within
This is now my true belief
What Christmas really is
To maybe give some others relief
And go home to their kids Poem - An old Flour Mill burnt down in town causing great curiousity in the townWhen the Old Mill Burned Down
Some woke with a fright
On that faithfull old night
The town gathered round
As the old mill burned down
We all stared in wonder and amazement
And many came due to it's placement
The crowd hardly made a sound
As the old mill burned down
An icon for many years
Workers remembering their blood, sweat and tears
They stood there with a saddened frown
As they watched the old mill burn down
Memories and some chuckles began of course
As Keys Flour Mill had been an employment source
But now sad and condemned it was found
On the night the old mill burned down
Now it sits with a broken black shell
Soon now all that will be heard will be the demolition bell
Memories and jokes, sadness and gossip abounds
About the night the old mill burnt down
It maybe gone, taken from it's original glory
But forever and a day, there will always be a story
About Keys Flour Mill and how it stood it's ground
On the night that it finally burned down A poem I wrote after talking an amazing guitarist I met on line - Luv ya work Brent you rockOklahoma GuitarsIt happened one night, nothing much to
Thought I would take a trip to Chat Avenue
On he came, this interesting guy
As the chat flowed so did the "OH MY's"
He told a story, one of adventure
He was a character, that was for sure
See he loved his music, this was clear
He held his guitar to his heart so near
He began by saying a mistake he thought he had made
The story started, the sad began to fade
He had left rock music, something close to me
An amazing trail he was now blazing towards Country
I told him that this was not so bad
Really there was no reason to be sad
As long as he was chasing his ultimate dream
With this his chat began to beam
He offered a site, a place he could be found
And at this place I would hear his sound
With quick response I typed "WOW"
He and his music had me firmly hooked by now
It was like a breath of crisp fresh air
As in his music his heart I would hear him bear
This guitar playing guy from Oklahoma that I saw
Placed me with inspiration as never before
I listened along and proclaimed my approval
From my ears there would be no removal
So I sat and wrote these simple words
All inspired by the music that I heard
So thankyou Brent for your beautiful gift of song
It certainly has not taken me all that long
To realise that you're a very talented, gifted person
And you came on line for a magic, special reason. A poem dedicated to Nickie, you are so much more than a neighbour - Thankyou so muchWhen fences dont divide She's a character, thats for sure
And lucky for me she lives just next door
Even though there is a fence that may divide
Always ready she is to be at my side
Some might say that is what neighbours are for
But to me Nickie you really mean some much more
You know she will be there to the very end
She's not just a neighbour, she's my good friend
So this special person, with humour so dry
Can make me laugh and help me cry
She is always there, with never a worry
And in time of need she's here in a hurry
So Nickie, you go girl, you total rat
Thank god for me that I know were you're at
For when this life can get you down
Im always sure that you will be around
A laugh, a giggle and the occasional swear
But under that exterior I know how much you care
So dont change a thing, stay the way that you are
Cause in my eyes you are a god damm STAR Poem - A Body of Art - An amazing guy who loves his tatts like me - love ya BabeA BODY OF ART
A common interest
The love of tatts
Beautiful body art
You cant ask for more than that
A soul full of spirit
With warmth and respect
Proud of his heritage
What more would you expect
His body tells his story
Of loss and his loves
His tatts fit his body
Like hands in a glove
He talks with a passion
Cheeky and wise
His heart is a big one
And theres warmth in his eyes
Tats Tom is his call sign
Fitting of course
And when it comes to art work
He's the ultimate source
So glad to have met him
An honour to know
And if the chance happens
The ink it will flow
So here's to my mate
I hope you can see
That our meeting of chance
Has been so special to me. A poem about another character from Chat Avenue, Weetabix you are an angel amoung men. When Angels Walk With Us
If you want to chat
And have some time
You might come across
A sweet friend of mine
When I first came across
My big teddy bear
He made me feel welcome
Glad to be there
His profession suits him
To care and show love
He is a nursing angel
Lent from God above
So a magic good friend
I feel I have found
And when we chat
I'm glad he's around
On Chat Avenue
Under the call of Weetabix
Any problem you have
I am sure he can fix
His wisdom is great
Fluent words all around
A gentle kind spirit
His feet firmly on the ground.
A quote from Weetabix:
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
Enjoy every breath
Poem - Machell - You will always be with me foreverA Dedication To A Special Friend Taken From This Earth Way To Early
When two paths cross and become entwined
As be the wonderful case of yours and mine
We treasure the love, bear all the tears
And thank the lord above for our time over the years
For all the good times
And most certainly the pain
We live and love one another
And our love forever will remain
Dedicated to a special friend
Machell you proved you dont dont have to know someone a lifetime for it to be memorable.
You will always be in my heart, forever Poem - To Dear Friends - thanks Barb you make me strong.
To Dear Friends
Poem - A Precious Commodity - a poem about some special friends of mine you guys mean the world to usA Precious Commodity (It's called a friend)
We love the people we are graced with
And hope that we always can
Provide the best attention
And extend a loving hand
For in this life we are lucky
If chance should play it's part
And provides friendly faces
That run away with our hearts
Dont ever under estimate
The love and care of a friend
It's us for they have chosen
To be there until the very end
(if you have a good friend, tell them how much you care) Poem - Fireworks - I wrote this after realising that one firework show is the roughly the same cost as a Brain Surgery Procedure $100,000.00 approxFireworks Colours are not in fireworks
They belong in someone's eyes
Impossible as this may seem
It's peoples faces that truly beam
I seem to have some confusion
Cause fireworks are an illusion
A mass of noise and lights
That fills a festival night
I use to love this spectacle
Even when it is so predictable
But this changed when I lost my "Youth"
And I was made to face the truth
Fireworks are pretty
But my heart fills with pity
At the thought of lives lost
When fireworks could help this cost
A poem dedicated to those in the Intensive Care Units all over the world who dont come home. Poem - Life - writen at a dark hour when I thought I was about to lose my lifeLife Mystery with depth Excitement with caution Loneliness with company Amazement with sadness It is all so bright With overwhelming darkness This is our life This is our gift This is our future And when we are gone Our past. Poem - A Parents LoveA Parents Love There is nothing quite like a parents love It is always there and fits just like a glove Always there whenever we need a lift An abundant source and a never ending gift
To treasure this item must be a must For in their children, they must always trust Even when we seem not to have time They accept what their given, all is just fine
With this in mind, I would like to say Never leave all the words to another day Tell them while you have them near And deep regrets you will never fear
Our parents are a gift, one of pleasure Their love and time always to treasure If all we see is their vacant chair It is too late to tell them we care Poem - The challange of Life - we had a run of luck which didnt seem lucky at the timeThe Challenge of Life
We're having a run of luck you see
To you it may seem bad, but not to me
We're all alive and really quite well
But I have had enough, as you can tell
They say to strong, a challenge is given
I'm not quite sure if form heaven it's given
They say it's sent to one who is tough
Ok, well I really have done quite enough
I'm not complaining or trying to whinge
But people see me and are beginning to cringe
They look sympathetic and say "Oh my god"
Through all the drama's I'm encouraged to plod
A challenge to those who can do it is sent
Ok, we'll I've done them all and I've been a bit bent
Thanks for thinking of me and all of your care
But I know that I've had my fair share
An AVM operation that ended just fine
A quick trip to Tamworth in really fast time
Another skate park accident with an open leg
Please, that's enough, I'm willing to beg
Today's a new day
And to the Lord above I pray
All the statistics are in, the challenge is done
From now on you know, I will be the lucky one. Poem - The Joy of Boys - a poem about LukeThe Joy of Boys
There is a wonderful adventure
And it's simply called a boy
A source of dewildered amusements
Or a sense of enormous joy
He may not be what you expected
And can often be a chore
But in a second heartbeart
He has you chuckling to the core
I wonder sometimes daily
How this miracle occurred
This crazy little creature
A quiet pray that once was heard
I love him with no question
Even when I sometimes cringe
And that cheeky little smile
Will clear any anger held within
He is what he is
And this I now accept
Thank goodness for little boys
And their amazing special effects
Poem - Written about an aussie I met on Chat Avenue - Great GuyThe Jacka Story It’s now become quite normal To visit Chat Avenue And on this online site Characters, there are a few
People from all over A very scattered lot Jacka fits in with them He’s the Aussie with the lot
A family man he is That was plain to see And he never even hesitated To have a chat with me
We spoke of his love 15 years and going strong Obviously they are happy 4 rug rats have come along
I think he could have partied Like most Aussie’s do Maybe he even had A head cone, probably even 2
My time with him was magic Our chat sure made me smile I hope that now I know him He will be there for a while
So here’s to an Aussie A real true blue He’s on of those honest people Thank god there’s still a few Poem - A fire we had in the kitchenThe fire
Holy crap batman
There's a fire in the kitchen
Who ever cleans up this one
Will do some moanin' and some bitchin'
The birthday girl suggested chips
All heads nodded in approval
No one ever really knew
It would end with all our removal
The element was not switched off
All of a sudden all hell broke loose
The sirens walied and the people came
The chip cooker looked like a silly goose
All ended well
Everyone was safe
Bit the poor old kitchen
It looked like a disgrace
Walls to be fixed
Cupboards to be mended
A nice black tinge
An exhaust fan badly bended
So the lesson is to watch the chips
Make sure you turn off the bloody switch
Dont be distracted
Dont be way laid
For as we have learnt
There's a price to be paid
The kitchen fire 26/2/06

You are our inspiration
Our everglowing light
You encouraged all our greatness
And lift us to new heights
A gentle hand to guide us
And pass on all your skills
To make us all feel special
With hair, makeup and frills
As our time goes on
And all our knowledge grows
Your careful understanding
In all our steps now shows
Thankyou for your patience
